If we get it, It will be sunk off of
Corpus.
The Texas Clipper will be sunk off South Padre probably late 04.
The carrier will be towed to Corpus
Christi sometime in January. NAVSEA is also supposed to make a
decision sometime in January as to which state they will donate the
carrier.
They are looking at reefing the carrier about 30 miles from Corpus in 210-215
feet of water. That places the conning tower at a depth of 50 feet, and if
the dimensions I have obtained are correct, that puts the flight deck at
about 108 or 110 feet. The Hangar deck will be at about 165-150 feet.
