As soon as you see the Blue Waters Inn, you understand its name. Stretching out to the horizon are the deep blue waters of the Atlantic, white-flecked in the distance, and gently lapping the golden sand of the beach at your feet. You are close to the ocean, close to nature - and far enough from the rest of the world to put it out of your mind for a while.
Tobago lies in the south-eastern corner of the Caribbean, not far from the South American Coast, with the Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean on the other. It is one of the quietest, gentlest, most peaceful islands in the Caribbean. There are miles of empty beaches. For nature lovers, there is a rich bird life on Tobago and its offshore islets. for golfers there is a magnificent 18-hole championship course under the palms. And for divers there is a dive shop located at the Hotel so you can discover some of the finest and least-explored diving waters in the world.
Blue Waters Inn is not a conventional resort. To start with, it is well away from the island's main tourist area, tucked away in its own private Bay with 46 acres of lush grounds on Tobago's north-east coast. it is about 24 miles from the airport and 20 from Scarborough, Tobago's capital. Our guests enjoy the seclusion and the tranquility. The drive to Blue Waters Inn takes you along much of Tobago's north east coast, the narrow country road winding along past empty beaches and quiet villages, through Goodwood and Glamorgan, belle Garden and Roxborough, startling you at every turn with a new view of the vivid blue ocean.
You can go deep sea fishing, scuba or skin diving, windsurfing or exploring Little Tobago island, where for many years the Bird of Paradise could be found. There are prime diving sites within easy reach; the grounds of the Inn are virtually a bird sanctuary in themselves. You can play tennis and shuffleboard. The swimming is excellent year round, and the beach is uncrowded. Or you can simply unwind, here by the blue ocean, in peace, and tranquility and "GET AWAY FROM IT ALL".
Blue Waters Inn has twenty-eight guest rooms. These include four self catering efficiencies each capable of accommodating four persons and one suite. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans. Meals are served in our unique beachfront restaurant specializing in seafood and local cuisine. Guests with special diets or request would be happily catered to whenever possible. The shipwreck bar offers a magnificent panoramic view of the offshore islets of Little Tobago and Goat Island where you can sit relax and savour our many tropical cocktails.
Life at Blue Waters is very easy-going and informal. We do not dress up, men wear shorts and casual shirts, ladies summer dresses or shorts. Because we are on the north-east coast and beside the ocean, there is a steady cooling breeze from the north-east trade winds. Temperatures are normally between 75 to 85 F, and rarely fall below 68 or rise above 90. Electricity is supplied at 110 volts, 60 cycles.
Please contacts us for Student Information or information about current rates.
